To remove a 5-in-1 blade from a clipper:

First, set your blade to the #40 setting (the shortest cut length). Place the blade against the palm of your hand and use the thumb on your other hand to push the blade away from the clipper. Your blade should pop right off.

To clean a 5-in-1 blade:

After removing the blade from the clipper, you may find quite a bit of pet hair packed into the back of your blade. Remove any fur you find from the blade and the clipper. Your clipper kit includes a small cleaning brush which you may find helpful for getting the fine hair stuck in the tight niches.

To clean in between the blades, push down on the blade ... to open the blade. This will make it easier to remove build up between the blades. To remove build up that has gathered down in the blades, you can use a piece of card stock paper, a pipe cleaner, or even canned air to remove the fur.

Once you have removed fur and dirt from your blade, you may use a disinfectant spray, such as Wahl's Clini-Clip. Spray Clini-Clip directly onto your blade and let it sit for 2 minutes (and only 2 minutes!). Wipe away any excess.

After disinfecting, you will want to oil your blades. Place 3 drops of oil across the teeth of your blades and turn your clipper on to allow the oil to work its way down through the blade. Wipe away any excess.

To re-attach a 5-in-1 blade to a clipper:

At the bottom of your blade is a small plastic tab. Hook this into the clipper and gently snap into place.

Wahl's signature 5-in-1 blade features five blade settings - #9, #10, #15, #30, and #40 - for quick and convenient grooming. This blade is used with Wahl's Arco, Bravura, Chromado, Creativa, Figura, and Motion cordless clippers.
